Hakutsuru, The U.S. National Sake Appraisal 2012, Gold Awarded

We are pleased to announce@that gChō-Tokusen (Premium)@Hakutsuru Dai-Ginjo @Genshu Fukuro-zuri*h won the highest quality, "Gold", in the Dai Ginjo "A" category (seimaibuai less than 40%) in the U.S. National Sake Appraisal 2012. The U.S. National Sake Appraisal has been held in the U.S. annually since 2001. 10 Japanese and American appraisers taste 300 or so sake for two days and gold and silver medals are awarded to selected sake.
The products entered in the Appraisal are served in the open public sake tasting at the Joy of Sake in Honolulu, NY and Tokyo.

The same sake, gChō-Tokusen (Premium) Hakutsuru Dai Ginjo Genshu Fukurozuri*h won the highest quality trophy in the International Sake Challenge 2012. gTrophyh is the highest award, higher than the ggold medalh award in this competition.

The International Sake Challenge was established to promote the understanding and recognition of sake in the international marketplace and facilitate distribution and sales of sake products around the world. The contest this year is the sixth annual event.
